The team

Four people. One narrow focus.

Nadia El-Sayed and Kofi Mensah founded Fraudhalo in late 2023. Renata Kovacs and Omar Saleh joined shortly after. All four have direct experience in the SMB acquiring fraud problem Fraudhalo is built to solve.

Nadia El-Sayed, CEO and Co-Founder of Fraudhalo

Nadia El-Sayed

CEO & Co-Founder

Nadia spent several years as a fraud operations manager at a mid-size Atlanta payment facilitator before co-founding Fraudhalo. Her work rebuilding the company's rules engine after a 2023 card-testing wave — and watching each new rule increase false-positive declines on legitimate merchants — became the founding insight. Emory MBA. Based in Atlanta.

Kofi Mensah, CTO and Co-Founder of Fraudhalo

Kofi Mensah

CTO & Co-Founder

Kofi was a fraud infrastructure engineer at Checkout.com before co-founding Fraudhalo. He built the real-time scoring engine that processes transaction events within the card authorization window. His prior work on payment infrastructure — specifically the latency constraints of gateway integration — shaped how Fraudhalo approaches sub-40ms scoring. Atlanta-based.

Renata Kovacs, Head of Risk Operations at Fraudhalo

Renata Kovacs

Head of Risk Operations

Renata brings seven years of SMB acquiring fraud experience from her time as a merchant risk analyst at Fiserv. She oversees the risk operations workflows and customer-facing documentation frameworks at Fraudhalo, including the chargeback documentation pack design. Her background working directly with independent payment facilitators shaped the bust-out fraud modeling scope.

Omar Saleh, ML Engineer at Fraudhalo

Omar Saleh

ML Engineer

Omar holds an MS in statistics from Georgia Tech and worked on card-network velocity models at a fintech data startup in Atlanta before joining Fraudhalo. He leads model development, including the behavioral velocity analysis and BIN risk clustering at the core of the real-time scoring engine. He also maintains the merchant baseline calibration methodology and the false-positive reduction evaluation framework.
